@nora.davies I’ve used lead-acid before — too heavy! Switched to a Lithink 12V 280Ah LiFePO₄, and my boat’s faster now.
I use something similar in my little electric boat: 280Ah works great. Range is good and weight is manageable. But if you have a powerful outboard, I’d either parallel two smaller batteries or go for a 24 V solution.
