Winter-ready for Motorhome & Vanlife

The BMS's built-in cold protection stops charging and discharging outside the safe temperature window and automatically releases the battery again once the cells have recovered — keeping the battery reliably protected even in winter.

Important Safety Instructions

Gloves

Wear insulated gloves

When unpacking and connecting the battery, always wear suitable protective gloves.

Full load

Fully charge before first use

The battery is delivered with approx. 60% charge – fully charge it once before use.

Insulation

Insulate bare wires before connecting

Always secure exposed conductors with suitable insulating material before they are connected to the battery.

Polarity

Connect positive and negative correctly

Before tightening the terminals, check that the positive and negative terminals are not reversed. Tighten terminals to 12 N·m.

Charger

Use only a suitable LiFePO₄ charger

Charge 12,8 V battery at 14,6 V, 25,6 V battery at 29,2 V.

Storage

For storage, charge to approx. 50%

Store at 10–35 °C and recharge approximately every 3 months.

Assorted batteries

Only connect identical Lithink batteries

Do not mix with other brands; for series/parallel connection use only identical models, purchase interval ≤ 1 month.

Load

Check device power before connection
Subtitle: Match the total power of the loads with the battery/inverter.

Cable

Select cable by current rating

For higher currents use thicker cables according to the table.

FAQs

Still have questions?
More info in our FAQs.

Q: For which applications is the Lithink 12V 314Ah MINI suitable?

A: Ideal for 12V onboard systems in motorhomes/vans (seat-box/under-bench mounting), off-grid solar installations, boat/fishing setups, and high-power inverter systems that require large capacity and stable discharge currents.

Q: What does ECE R10 do for me in practice?

A: ECE R10 stands for EMC conformity in vehicles. This means: The battery is designed for operation in motorhome/van environments so that onboard electronics and sensitive devices in the system work together reliably – even with inverters, DC-DC converters and other loads.

Q: How does the self-heating work and when does it start?

A: The self-heating operates while charging: below 5 °C it starts automatically and heats up to 15 °C. Typical warm-up time: approx. 20–30 min. (from −10 °C) or 30–40 min. (from −20 °C, @8A). A minimum charging current of 10 A is required for the heating function.

Q: How powerful is the BMS – and what does that mean for high loads?

A: The battery uses a 300A BMS board with a 300 A continuous charge/discharge current. Additionally, multi-stage peak currents are possible: 1000 A/1 s, 900 A/3 s, 600 A/5 s, 450 A/10 s – useful for startup peaks (e.g. compressor/pump). The appropriate inverter size always depends on cabling, protection, and system design.

Q: Can I expand the battery (series/parallel)?

A: Yes. A system configuration up to 4P4S (max. 4 in parallel and 4 in series) is supported. For stable systems, use batteries that are as identical as possible (model/condition) and bring them to a similar state of charge or a similar voltage before connecting.
