Best LiFePO₄ batteries for motorhomes & camping

How do you choose your battery

Motorhome & Camping?

8 reasons why Lithink is the perfect energy foundation for your mobile home

More usable energy at the same size

Lithink LiFePO₄ batteries can be deeply discharged and deliver a large portion of their rated capacity as usable energy — ideal for extended off‑grid stays without constantly having to watch the remaining charge.

More Power for High-Demand Consumers on Board

High permissible continuous and peak currents reliably supply inverters, air conditioning, coffee machines, induction cooktops, or compressor refrigerators – even when multiple appliances are running simultaneously.

Start safely in winter – with self-heating

Models with a heating function automatically warm the battery during charging when it’s cold outside, while also protecting against critically low temperatures. This keeps your onboard battery operational even in freezing conditions.

Perfect for solar & fast charging

High permissible charge and discharge currents make Lithink the ideal basis for a solar system, shore power charger, and charge booster. The battery quickly becomes full again and handles daily cycles in off-grid operation.

Everything in view with Bluetooth app

Through the Lithink App you can see charge level, voltage, current and temperature in real time – including alerts before the refrigerator, heater or lights become critical.

Worldwide No. 1 LiFePO₄ internal build quality

Reinforced internal structure, bolted rails, high-quality housings and high protection ratings protect the battery in the rear garage, under-seat locker or exterior storage compartment from vibration, dust and moisture.

Safety BMS with 30+ protection functions

An automotive BMS with over 30 measurement and protection parameters – including over- and under-voltage, overcurrent, short circuit, and over- and under-temperature – provides safety across the entire on-board network, supported by multiple temperature sensors.

Long Service Life & 10-Year Warranty

High-quality A+ cells, rigorous Lithink lab tests and thousands of life cycles ensure your investment pays off over many years of travel – backed by a long-term 10-year warranty.

Any more questions about the motorhome battery?

Read our frequently asked questions – and if you're still unsure afterwards, just write to us directly.

1. How do I find out which Lithink battery fits my motorhome?

First check your vehicle's electrical system: 12 V or 24 V, existing charger, solar regulator and charge booster. Then consider how long you usually stay off-grid and which devices should run (fridge, lights, pump, laptop, inverter, etc.). Based on this information and our tables "How much capacity?" and "Energy & Autonomy", choose the appropriate kWh class – when in doubt, opt for the next higher level.

2. How do I determine the appropriate capacity (Ah/kWh) for my on-board electrical system?

List all important appliances and their daily runtime. This gives your daily consumption in kWh. Rule of thumb:

Battery capacity in kWh ≈ (daily consumption × desired days of autonomy) ÷ 0.8

(0.8 stands for approx. 80% usable LiFePO₄ capacity). For weekend trips, 1–2 kWh is often sufficient; for frequent boondocking or mobile work, 3–5 kWh or more are advisable.

3. One or multiple batteries – how do I configure my system correctly?

For most motorhomes with a 12-V on-board electrical system, a suitable Lithink battery with sufficient capacity is sufficient. If you want to stay off-grid longer or use a powerful inverter, you can connect multiple identical Lithink batteries in parallel to increase capacity. A 24-V configuration (two 12-V batteries in series) only makes sense if the inverter, charger and loads are explicitly designed for 24 V. Important: Always combine only identical models and do not mix old lead-acid and new lithium batteries.

4. What should I consider for the charger, solar charge controller, and charge booster?

Ideal is technology with an adjustable LiFePO₄ charging profile or an explicit "Lithium" mode. The charge termination voltage and current limiting should match the specifications in the Lithink datasheet. A modern DC-DC charge booster protects the alternator and charges the lithium house battery cleanly. Older, dedicated lead-acid chargers with too low a voltage often do not fully charge LiFePO₄ — switching is worthwhile here.

5. How do temperatures (summer heat, winter camping) affect the choice of battery?

LiFePO₄ batteries don't tolerate extreme heat or very low temperatures when charging. For regular camping, models without heating are sufficient, as long as charging occurs above 0 °C. If you frequently travel in winter or in Scandinavia, Lithink models with self-heating and extended temperature protection are advisable: during charging they automatically warm the cells and the BMS protects against operating that is too cold or too hot.

Not sure which motorhome battery is right for you?

Briefly describe your vehicle, your main power consumers and the existing equipment (charger, solar, charge booster). We will usually get back to you within 8 hours with a suitable recommendation.
